“Keyless Entry” takes home awards

There were highs. There were lows. There was beer. It was all good. The Dallas 48 Hour Film competition wrapped up with the awards ceremony last night, and what can I say, we did alright. Along with the previously mentioned Audience Award, our film “Keyless Entry” took home a few more:

• Best Acting
• Best Use of Dialogue
• Best Use of Prop
• Runner Up for Best Film

Not too shabby for our freshman attempt! It was all great fun and we’re certainly looking forward to next year’s competition. Congrats to all of the winners last night!

PPB wins Audience Choice award!

On July 2, the film entries for Dallas’ 48 Hour Film competition were screened at the Studio Movie Grill. Along with giving everyone a chance to view all the films in the competition, it was a chance for the viewers to voice their opinion. There were two groups, A and B, with about 15 film entries per group. Our film “Keyless Entry” won the Audience Award for the group A! That’s great news considering this was our first time to participate in anything like this — quite an honor! There are several other categories a film can win including best overall and those will be announced next week. Wish us luck!

The screening for the 48 Hour Films is tonight, 7:15 pm (for Group A, which is us) at the Studio Movie Grill Dallas, at 75 & Royal. Most of the PPB team will be there to check out the final cut (some are seeing it for the first time) as well as the competition. Come check it out if you can and support the PPB!
